Labourer

To participate as an effective member of the Rubber Paving Installers of Solid State Rubber Paving. On the job training will be provided with good wage. This work is physically demanding seasonal job. Duties will include performing a range of tasks necessary for the installation of rubber paving.

• Follow Solid State’s Guiding Principle
• Participate in Solid State’s safety program
• Preparing job site (unpack, sort, organize tools, equipment setup and cleaning)
• Assist with miscellaneous tasks as needed

Requirements:

• Ability to maintain security and viability of the company
• Understand and perform safe working practices to ensure a safe working environment
• Ability to manage time effectively to meet deadlines
• Ability to listen to others, communicate effectively and respond positively to feedback on job performance
• Ability to explain basic technical procedures to others
• Strong hand and eye coordination
• Ability to maintain concentration, problem solving and accurately perform repetitive job tasks
• Ability to lift up to 45kg (100 lbs) on a frequent basis during critical work periods
• Ability to work with allergenic material (including, but not limited to, rubber, cement, binder, disposable gloves)
• Ability to work outdoors with allergens and warm temperatures
• Ability to work longer hours, weekends, and holidays
• Must be willing to travel around Saskatchewan (Mostly Southwest) and Alberta (Medicine Hat and surrounding area)
