Heavy Duty Mechanic

Premium Built Structures is seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team.
Premium is a leading post frame building contractor based in Lacombe, Alberta.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy equipment and vehicles used in the day to day operation of our buisness and on the construction sites we operate.

Duties
– Perform regular preventative maintenance as welll as diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and
hydraulic issues on heavy equipment. (telehandlers, skidsteers, scissor lifts, fork lifts and trailers)
– Perform routine maintenance and servicing on two company semi trucks.
– Perform routine maintenance and servicing on all light duty company work trucks.
– Conduct inspections and update Preventative Maintenance program as needed to identify and repair
worn or damaged parts.
– Utilize dealership manuals and computer programs for troubleshooting and repairs
– Maintain a clean and tidy work areas and help out with general cleaning duties of main shop.

Experience
– Journeyman/Red Seal Certified Heavy Duty Mechanic. (On road and Off Road Preferred)
– Minimum 2 years experience working on heavy equipment similar to those listed above.
– A valid Class 5 license and clean drivers abstract are requirements of the position.
– Proficiency in operating heavy equipment, heavy trucks and trailers is advantageous.
– Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
