Security Supervisor

The Security Supervisor will be responsible for administrative duties and support the day-to-day operations of the department. This experienced professional will ensure complete customer satisfaction by constant monitoring of employee interaction with guests and co-worker and enabling guest’s expectations to be met or exceeded. They will also contribute to the overall success of Red Shores.
Responsibilities
- Embed a mindset of continuous improvement into all aspects of their operations and interactions.
- Model the desired leadership behaviors while creating and maintaining an environment that fosters high employee engagement with front line employees.
- Point of contact for any issues that might arise throughout the building.
- Effectively assist in the supervision of employees to be accountable for their roles and responsibilities and manage results generated from the performance of these accountabilities; Conduct formal coaching and counseling.
- Assist in training the new employees, and recommend follow up training if required, for all positions in the department.
- Support the Health & Safety program, Voluntary Self-Exclusion Program, and conduct investigations, if required.
- Shift work and overnights required. 12-hour shift rotations.
- Ensure scheduled staffing levels are met based on operational demands – replace sick calls, relocate staff to help if required and make decisions on early outs or cancelled shifts.
Qualifications
- Requires post-secondary education or comparable working experience in a related field.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, analytical and communication skills.
- Experience leading people and working in a fast-paced customer service focused industry.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Knowledge of computer software applications.
- Certified in CPR and First Aid.
- Responsible Beverage Service Certificate.
- Community College Law and Security accreditation is an asset.
