Reporting to the Shop Manager, the Welder is responsible for performing welding tasks on various materials and components according to specifications and quality standards. You will work in a dynamic shop environment, collaborating with other skilled professionals to ensure the timely and accurate completion of projects.

Position Responsibilities

Accountabilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Set up and operate welding equipment and tools.
• Maintain quality and consistency, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
• Maintain and repair welding equipment as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and specifications.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Assist in other shop duties as required.

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:

• CWB certified
• Proven experience as a Welder in a shop environment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Familiarity with welding equipment maintenance and safety procedures.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working in a variety of positions, including standing, bending, and kneeling.
• Ability to work in a noisy and occasionally hazardous environment with appropriate safety gear.
