Farm hand required

D&D Cattle Co. is looking for an individual to join our team near Young, SK. We are located approximately 1 hour SE of Saskatoon and 20 minutes NW of Watrous.

About our farm:
– Calve approximately 500 head of mixed Angus/Simmental cattle, mostly in February and March.
– Feed to finish a portion of our calves.
– Participate in crop production of approximately 8500 acres.

Duties:
– Feeding cattle
– Utilise basic math skills for measurements and calculations
– Fixing/building fence and other structures
– Vaccinating/processing cattle
– Calving out cows
– Operating equipment
– Servicing equipment
– Apply mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot machinery issues

Requirements:
– Valid class 5 licence
– Transportation to get to and from the farmyard
– Ability to work in a team
– Ability to work with minimal supervision
– Proficiency in basic math for measurements and calculations

Assets
– Ability to ride horse
– Ability to learn and take instruction
– Experience working on a mixed farm
– Experience operating equipment

Wage is based on experience.
