Embroidery & T-Shirt Heat Press Operator

We are growing and our location is expanding – we are looking for a Part time Embroidery & T-Shirt Heat Press Operator to work 25-30 hrs. per week – This job is Monday – Friday 9am – 2pm with opportunity in the future to move into a full time position. This is not a suitable position for a student but rather someone who is looking to grow with our team long term. We are closed on week-ends, all stat holidays and 7 days at Christmas! This jobs start date will be ASAP

Underwraps Advertising specializes in branded apparel, car wraps and promotional products that are used by our customers to promote their business, organization or event. We do this through embroidery, screen printing, heat transfer and a variety of other cool imprint methods. We also offer marketing support including logo design, print services, signage and more

We are looking for someone to take care of our embroidery and heat press dept. Your job will include operating a embroidery machine, heat-pressing logos onto garments, mugs and various other promotional products Someone with a positive attitude, extremely organized, can meet deadlines, has attention to detail, is very reliable and has a passion for helping others. Embroidery and/or Heat Press experience is an asset but we are willing to train the right candidate.

Embroidery & T-Shirt Heat Press Operator Responsibilities:

Analyzing and understanding project specifications and clients’ needs before starting each embroidery/heatpress project.
Selecting the thread, fabric, hoops, and designs appropriate to each project.
Setting up machines and supervising the embroidery/Heatpress process.
Carefully reading instructional manuals to ensure smooth troubleshooting and repair processes.
Performing regular machine and inventory inspections and reporting any issues or reordering stock as required.
Providing suggestions regarding the design, placement, and fabric and thread selection.
Drawing guides or pinning tissue paper patterns onto fabric.
Keeping track of work orders and updating records.
Communicating with our sales team and ensuring that all orders are sent out in a timely manner.

Embroidery Machine/T-Shirt Heat Press Operator Requirements:

Experience as an embroidery machine operator an asset but not a deal breaker as we are willing to train the right candidate that fits within our team.
Excellent troubleshooting skills.
The ability to read and understand work orders and graphic design proofs.
Excellent administrative abilities and attention to detail.
Great customer service and communication skills.
