Evening Duty Manager

The Simon Hotel Sydney, is currently seeking an Evening Duty Manager who will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our hotel.

This position requires a hands-on approach, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage various aspects of hotel operations, including guest services, staff supervision in all hotel departments and facility management. The ideal candidate will have excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, the ability to work in a busy environment and displays professionalism at all times.

Compensation Package:

• Starting Salary: $40,000
• Group Benefits (medical, dental, life insurance, AD&D, EAP) commencing at date of hire

Other Requirements & Responsibilities:

• Experience and proven leadership skills in a service/hospitality/supervisory role (preferably in a Hotel); additional experience in hospitality industry as concierge or front desk agent are assets.
• Outstanding customer service and problem solving skills
• In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations, including food safety, WHMIS and First Aid
• Knowledge of POS programs and hotel operating systems
• Ability to foster a team spirit and provide service training
• Degree/Certificate from a recognized university/college or other program related to Hospitality is preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
• An understanding of Hotel pricing and billing
• Ability to keep track of a variety of small details
• Able to work 40 hours/week which may include weekends
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (must have a good command in English).
