Construction Sales and Estimating (Commission)

Canada Crushing Company is a privately-held Company established in 2022. We are a small-size company operating out of our facility in Grafton, Ontario serving Eastern, Southern and Central Ontario.

We are seeking a Sales Associate/Estimator to become a part of a dynamic team that is committed to providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate for this position is well organized, available to work flexibly and will be able to communicate confidently with customers. We are looking for a self-starter; someone that is hungry for business and will be compensated accordingly. You will be compensated by commission only for projects that are awarded.
Company phone will be provided.
Sales Responsibilities:
Speak with customers and build relationships.
Gather customer information to provide personalized service.
Cold calling/approaching business is required.
Work in a construction environment.
Inform potential customers of our services and our pricing.
Report all findings to Manager.
Estimator Responsibilities:
Determining the total cost of construction project materials, equipment, utilities, and labour.
Researching construction documents and analyzing specifications.
Preparing estimates for planning, organizing, and scheduling project work.
Managing pre-qualification and pre-bid submissions.
Preparing estimates to meet project goals, such as setting work hours, sequencing tasks, obtaining materials, and securing the best deals with vendors and subcontractors.
Ensuring that relevant documents and budgets are submitted before a bid deadline.
Regularly reporting to Management and keeping clients updated on the project status.
Formulating contingency plans and managing risks that might impact cost and time estimates.
Keeping track of the latest estimating technology and industry-related techniques.
Collaborating with other teams, conducting site visits, and providing other services, like bid deliveries, when required.
Required Education, Experience & Abilities:
Bachelor’s degree in civil or architectural engineering, construction management, or equivalent.
Experience in sewer water main and excavation
Extensive experience as an estimator in the construction field
Exceptional time management, multitasking, and interpersonal skills
Advanced management and negotiation skills
Ability to collaborate closely with other project teams and stakeholders
Excellent research, proposal writing, and oral presentation skills
Extensive knowledge of best industry practices and standards
Advanced computer skills
Ability to travel and perform site visits
Job Type: Freelance
Pay: $75,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
Commission pay (no cap)
