As a quickly growing, dynamic, and culture-focused organization, Heart & Stroke NB is looking for someone to support and enhance our team.

THE OPPORTUNITY

The Heart and Stroke Foundation is seeking a one-year contract position for a dedicated Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining our front desk, providing excellent customer service, and offering administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of our office.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Greet and welcome guests with a positive and helpful attitude
  • Ensure day-to-day operations run smoothly, including opening and closing the office
  • General office operations, i.e., ordering office supplies and maintaining inventory
  • Ensuring a tidy and efficient work environment in all common areas, i.e., boardroom, kitchen and reception area
  • Schedule appointments, meetings, and video calls; coordinate with staff and volunteers for events and activities
  • Prepare daily and weekly logs for the finance department
  • Maintain accurate donor records and database software
  • Assist with fundraising campaigns and community events as needed
  • Handle incoming and outgoing communications, including phone calls, emails and mail
  • Maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, donors, and volunteers

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • Post-Secondary Education or 2 years experience in a related field

  • Bilingualism, considered an asset
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Organization skills
  • Customer service orientated
  • Problem solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 suite
  • Team player
  • Professionalism & Confidentiality
  • Self-motivated and committed to follow-through with minimal supervision
  • Clear criminal record
