Experienced Nanny Wanted in Vancouver, BC – $22/hr

We are seeking a competent and experienced nanny for our 5-year-old son, who is starting preschool in French immersion. School hours are 8:55 am – 2:58 pm. We need a nanny to work two shifts: before school from 7 am to 9 am, and after school from 3 pm to 6 pm. However, we will consider candidates who can only work in the afternoon from 1 pm to 6 pm.
A car will be available if necessary. Our home is a 30-minute walk, 20 bus, or 5-minute drive from school. Some afternoons may involve transporting our son to sports activities. We live near the beach, forest, parks, and playgrounds, and encourage nature play. Our neighborhood has a strong sense of community and many children our son’s age, making playdates common.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure our son’s safety and well-being.
• Provide care, warmth, and security in our absence.
• Plan activities that promote his development.
• Assist with basic needs and homework.
• Prepare nutritious snacks and meals.
• Supervise and participate in activities, limiting screen time.
• Keep his living spaces clean and organized.
• Use our car for transporting him as needed.

Ideal Candidate:

• Bilingual in French/English or Afrikaans/English.
• Reliable, organized, and engaging.
• Experienced in childcare.
