General Labourer

We are seeking a General Labourer who is self-motivated and has some relevant experience and an interest in to join our team at Fourteen Estates, at our Port of Call Marina in Bolsover. For over 40 years, Fourteen Estates has been leading the industry in building customers their dream homes, developing land into beautiful communities, and managing commercial properties. As Labourer, you will be required to work closely with all onsite employees and trades on site and in the office. You will be a representative of our company in the field, and will be able to take pride in the finished results of our work.

Job description
The Labourer must be willing to work 5 days a week 8:00 am-5:00pm, days of the week to be established with your Manager. They must be able to perform tasks involving physical labour in a timely manner with quality workmanship. The specific tasks of this role include day to day clean-up of site, operation of a variety of hand and power tools, maintaining and repairing docks, landscaping and property maintenance and various jobs in and around the facility.
Qualifications and Mandatories
•Demonstrate a strong work ethic and willingness to work.
•Has a hands-on approach to complete daily tasks as assigned by the Property Manager.
•Able to follow instructions rapidly and proficiently.
•Operate and maintain power mowers, tractors, chain saws, electric clippers, sod cutters, pruning saws, snow blowers, and other landscape maintenance equipment.
•Perform routine lawn maintenance duties including grass cutting, lawn edging, dead plant removal, and weed pulling by hand or using a garden hoe or hula hoe.
•Perform lake weed removal around the marina, slips, and dock area, using a weed razer and razer rake.
•Perform minor repairs and maintenance duties on storage buildings and equipment.
•Maintain assigned equipment and inform management about required repairs.
•Provide clear pathways to the storage units by leveling gravel on pathways, applying weed killer, removing small plants on the roadsides, and garbage removal.
•Perform other manual duties to clean and maintain landscaped environments.
•Provide plowing services and snow removal during the winter season.
•Power washing the storage floors when necessary.
•Tree trimming inside the marina premises.
•Replace burned light bulbs indoors and outdoors
•Clean molds and fungi on propane tanks, storage walls, doors, and ceilings.
•Perform routine cleaning duties such as cleaning washroom floors, office carpets, mats, window glass, etc.
•Minor masonry and painting work.
•Replace old wood planks on the marina deck and install dock ladders or similar installations
•Some experience in the construction field is preferred.
•Compliance with company health and safety training and reporting requirements.
•A driver’s license and own vehicle to travel to and from work and other job sites as required.
•Ability to communicate in English, efficiently and respectfully with all clients, trades and staff on site.
•Ability to listen, learn, execute and retain knowledge for future similar jobs.
•Asset to have own tools.
•Starting (main) location is in Port of Call Marina and Storage
