Seeking Part-Time ECE Certified Nanny in Calgary – $20/hr

Hello! Thank you for taking the time to check this job posting out. We are a new family, also new to Calgary, looking for a loving pair of experienced hands to support us a few hours a week in caring for our currently 3 month old infant as we settle in to parenthood, and a new city.
Our ideal caregiver will have training and experience in Early Childhood Education, a calm and loving demeanor, and have their own transportation. They will be reliable, mature, patient, and free-thinking with an interest in caring for our little one, part-time, for many years to come as we build our community here in Calgary.

A cherry on top would be knowledge of the Waldorf philosophies in regards to the early years of child development. Or at least, a holistic and organic approach to child care.

We do not expect housework beyond cleaning up after oneself and the baby, just maintaining the general order and cleanliness of the house. Though, if the caregiver ever felt inclined to do a load of laundry, we wouldn’t be mad about it.

In addition to infant care, light pet care responsibilities are included in the position, so being comfortable and confident around a large, male, very sweet, shepherd/husky is a must.

The position will start out as a few hours 1 day/week, to allow mum a chance to attend a class while dad is at work. In time, we will need care from 4-6 hours a day, 2-3 days a week when mum returns to her work.

The hours and days may vary due to the nature of mum’s work as a tattoo artist, so flexibility is a must on your part. But, we will work with our caregiver’s weekly availability to create a more tangible schedule for everyone.
