Seeking the right person to care for our 1 year old son Félix –

Are you a caring nanny looking for a full-time opportunity in Kanata, Ontario? Our family is seeking the right person to care for our soon-to-be 1 year old son Félix during weekdays, starting the first week of September.
Mom is an engineer working from home who will be there to help at lunchtime/prep Félix’s meals, while Dad is an officer in the RCAF who works in the office most days.

We are pretty flexible, so everything is negotiable within reason if you’re the right person – from your hours (approx. 9:00-15:…) to salary, break length to any additional responsibilities you might like to take on for extra remuneration.

You must have CPR certification, have or be willing to provide a police background check, and possess extensive knowledge in infant care, ideally with references. You must also be comfortable with dogs, as although both are friendly and our Mini-Dachshund Daisy is very cute, her bigger sister Mystra is very loud and can be intimidating!

As dad is French-Canadian and mom is Chinese, the ability to communicate in either French or Mandarin are highly desirable.

We both highly value education- and although it would be a great asset if you are familiar with Montessori, our main concern is finding someone who can help us guide Félix’s development over the next few years and set him down the path towards eventually becoming a well-rounded young man who will be as comfortable on the soccer field as he is studying for his physics exam or practicing for his band’s next concert – whatever path he chooses.

Ideally, you would be able to carry on with Félix’s currently very busy social schedule attending “Early ON” and OPL programs near our house during the day, so a car would be an asset in the winter.
