At Kingston 1000 Islands Cruises we are currently seeking a Food and Beverage Coordinator for a 3-month contract from August – October, 2024 with the possibility for the successful candidate to continue into the next season (March – October, 2025).

Full wage $21.00/hr (Upon completion of training)

As Food and Beverage Coordinator you will assist the F&B department in creating an outstanding guest experience on our dockside patio and onboard our three sightseeing and dining vessels by accurately and efficiently procuring goods, managing inventory ordering, stocking, and tracking, as well as maintaining organizational standards. Work in downtown Kingston at 248 Ontario St., and 1 Brock St.

Qualifications:
• Positive attitude and collaborative approach.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.
• Ability to problem solve & anticipate procedural obstacles.
• Verbal and written communication proficiency in English.
• Competency with MS Office (strong focus on Excel).
• Knowledge and experience with Point-of-Sale software (Touch Bistro or similar).
• Previous Administrative experience considered an asset.
• Full G license required.
• Heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs) and other demanding physical work is required.

Responsibilities:
• Provide administrative support for Food & Beverage department:
(uniform logistics, meeting minutes etc.)
• Assist with staff onboarding administrative tasks.
• Complete regular ordering/procurement and inventory tracking.
• Maintain relationships with F&B suppliers.
• Scout local grocery store and supplier websites for sales.
• Create and implement efficient workflows for ordering, pick-up, delivery schedules.
• Pick-up orders from suppliers and acquire extra stock as needed.
• Receive and put away inventory orders.
• Anticipate daily, weekly and turnaround restocking requirements
(particularly ahead of busy weekends, event dates, holidays)
• Regularly organize inventory/storage spaces maintaining order and cleanliness.
• Oversee and implement inventory procedures, ensure end-of-day procedures are being followed.
• Conduct month-end inventory counts for cost of good tracking.
• Use POS system to track/manage/update cost of goods, ingredients, inventory, allergy information.
