Job Description – Maintenance Mechanic Licensed
Responsibilities:
1. Performing routine maintenance (Preventive & Predictive) in a timely manner and use Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to log all the planned, reactive and emergency activities.
2. Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues and determine the best course of action for repairs.
3. Documentation of maintenance and repair work performed by maintaining records of scheduled maintenance procedures and implement a competency based training program.
4. Work as a team member on small and large technical projects and assist in the ongoing improvement of work order system.
5. Ensure effective and timely on floor support to the maintenance team members, including regular, off-shift and weekend coverage as required.
6. Collaborate with mechanic and engineering teams to implement permanent solutions for equipment and process problems.
7. Maintain up to date technical knowledge and skills by attending training sessions and seminars from major manufacturers of automation equipment and other related associations etc.
8. Adhere to safety and environmental regulations such as Arc Flash protection and use of PPE to ensure all work is conducted in a safe manner.
9. Ensure to be compliant with food quality and safety policies and programs.
10. Report all incidents and injuries, illnesses, any hazardous or unsafe conditions to your Supervisor.
11. Report to supervisor any hazardous or unsafe conditions, absence or defects in equipment and any contravention of health and safety legislation.
12. Follows all established and implemented food safety and food quality standards based on SQF requirement
13. Assists in the on-going implementation of food safety and food quality standards.
14. Respond to the requests for maintenance surrounding the automation machinery of production lines.
Provide support to team members on the maintenance of machinery, equipment etc,

Requirements & Skills:
1. Completion of technologist degree or diploma related to Maintenance or Engineering- Preferred Specialization of studies in Electrical, Mechanical or Robotics.
2. Minimum of 5 years performing maintenance in an industrial setting- Previous experience within the Food Manufacturing industry.
3. Previous experience working with CMMS.
4.Licensed Millwright (eg. 433A) or Technician.
5.Good communication skills and ability to follow verbal and written instructions(SOPs, training documents)
6.Multitasking and co-ordination with other team members.
7.Willingness to work flexible and independently and contribute to the team success.
8.Problem solving and decision-making skills.
9.Proficiency in reading blueprints, diagrams, and technical manuals.
10.Highly motivated and capable of conducting root cause analysis to identify permanent countermeasure.
11.Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
12.Knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
13.Good team player.
