Immediately hiring: overnight awake in home care

Required immediately:
Overnight awake domestic caregiver for adult male with special needs. Must be able to train for up to three weeks during the day to get to know client prior to starting overnight awake shifts. Shift work including all holidays, from 8-48 hours per week that might comprise some days during coworker’s vacation times or illness. Flexible, willing to work in a multi cultural environment but must have solid command of the English language as that is the only language client responds to. Familiarity with autism tendencies, severe sensory sensitivity, non verbal communication, personal care and basic understanding of sleep disturbances and behaviours. No restraining is allowed but familiarity with deescalation techniques is an asset. Must enjoy animals as client has both a dog and a cat. Ability to lift 25-30 lbs on a regular basis as client uses both a wheelchair and walker. Must be fun loving and willing to engage with co-workers and client.
