-Age 25 or older with a valid G drivers license and good driving record.

– Previous experience in landscaping and snow removal

– Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions

– Proficiency in using trimmers, hedgers, zero turn lawn mowers, etc.

– Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately

– Physical stamina to lift heavy objects and work on feet for extended periods

– Knowledge of basic mechanical principles for equipment operation.

• Overview:

Start Date: July 22, 2024

We are seeking a dedicated Groundskeeper to join our team. As a Groundskeeper, you will play a vital role in maintaining the appearance and functionality of outdoor spaces.

Our work days are based in and around Niagara in our company vehicles, our routes include maintaining the landscaping at single family homes, multi residential properties, apartment buildings, parks and more.
• Responsibilities:

– Utilize hand tools and power tools to perform various landscaping tasks including cutting lawns with zero turn mowers, push mowers, trimming, weeding gardens, leaf clean up, etc. Winter shifts include operating a plow truck / salter, shovelling, etc.

– Maintain and care for gardens, lawns, and landscapes

– Maintaining plants, flowers, and grass as needed

– Ensure cleanliness and tidiness of properties

– Assist with planting, weeding, pruning, and mulching
• Skills:

– Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for landscaping

– Knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques

– Ability to maintain outdoor areas in a neat and organized manner

– Experience with garden care and maintenance, experience in operating a plow truck, driving a truck and trailer, and following property routes.

This position offers a great opportunity for individuals interested in hands-on outdoor work with room for growth within our landscaping team.

Currently we are looking to add one new member to our team to 4-5 days a week depending on our schedule, we generally have Saturdays off, and do not work any Sundays during the Spring-Fall season.

Our team is laid off at the end of our season in late October / early November depending on weather. Winter employment includes being on call for extended hours involving snow clearing by shovel, machinery, driving plow trucks, as well as salting.

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour. To be discussed and based on experience and knowledge.

Expected hours:40 – 50 per week on average through spring – fall, winter hours vary.
