Tria Consulting Ltd. services general contractors, design-build contractors, developers, architects, engineers, and homeowners offering a wide variety of commercial, residential, agricultural, manufacturing, and industrial building services.

Tria Consulting Ltd. is actively seeking to hire a Structural Engineer to join our Engineering Division. As a Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and ensuring the safety of various structures.

Responsibilities
– Design and analyze of structural elements:
Implement structural analysis and design for various projects using software tools and manual calculations.
Proficient use of building code, regulations, and standards.
Design for commercial, residential, manufacturing, and agricultural structures.
Design utilizing various structural elements including steel, concrete, wood and precast.

– Collaboration with project teams:
Working closely with architects, structural engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements, project design and construction requirements are met.

– Preparation of construction documents
Prepare detailed structural drawings and specifications.
Collaborate with drafting personnel.
Review and approve structural drawings and documents.

– Construction site coordination:
Conduct site visits and inspections to assess structural conditions.
Provide recommendations/remedial actions as necessary.
Provide site reports and documentation.

– Innovation and research:
Staying current with new technologies and techniques in structural engineering/construction and exploring ways to improve efficiency, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness.

Requirements
– Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
– Professional Engineer (P.Eng) registered with Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba.
– 3 years of experience in structural engineering, experience in precast concrete design would be considered an asset.
– Strong knowledge of relevant codes and standards.
– Proficiency in structural analysis software.
– Experience with drafting software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.)
– Knowledge with typical construction practices.
– Strong communication and teamwork skills

Qualifications
– Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
– Effective problem solving skills.
– Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
– Valid Manitoba drivers license.
