Farm Help Wanted
We are a large-scale, modern grain farm with a home base of operations located in the RM Of Two Borders, Manitoba. We are currently seeking to hire help for the harvest season to start work ASAP. We offer competitive wages.
SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Education: No formal requirement
Credentials (certificates, licenses, memberships, courses, etc.): Valid Driver’s License (Manitoba Class 5 or equivalent). CLASS 1 W/AIR PREFERRED BUT NOT COMPLETELY NECESSARY
JOB DUTIES:
-Operate heavy farm machinery and equipment to harvest crops
-Perform common maintenance and minor repairs to farm equipment and machinery
-Maintain or assist in maintenance of farm infrastructure
-Wash and clean farm machinery and farm vehicles
-Ability to operate GPS system in farm equipment
-Experience operating tractors, sprayers, combines, and seeding equipment
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Able to work in all weather conditions (summer and winter). Attention to detail, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, physically demanding.
Work Site Environment: Outdoors, Noisy, Dusty
Work Location Information: Rural area, ACCOMMODATIONS CAN BE PROVIDED IF REQUIRED
Essential Skills: Working with others, Decision making, Attention to detail, Job task planning and organizing.
EMPLOYMENT LOCATIONS:
Successful candidates will be required to work at all our land locations. LAND IS LOCATED IN THE VIRDEN, RESTON, PIPESTONE AND MELITA AREAS.
