Construction Handyperson / Repair Technician

Overview / Description:

Our “Construction Handyperson / Repair Technician” works with the Site Supervisor to apply work in the skilled trades to help prepare condo suites for occupancy. The ideal candidate should be able to communicating professionally and handle a variety of tasks independently.

Job Responsibilities:

Report directly to the Site Supervisor
Basic understanding of high-rise construction
Identify and communicate scope of work issues
Maintain professional dress and attitude
Deliver quality work on a day-to-day basis
Work alongside staff, purchasers, tenants and management team
Communicate day-to-day changes and progress to scope of work
Working integrally with a small team of repair technicians
Recognize scope changes and elevating to Site Supervisor

Required Skills and Experience:

1-3 years of experience in the trades (drywall and painting preferred)
Basic skills and experience in: drywall patching, painting, caulking, silicone, small repairs
Required: Fall Arrest Certificate, WHMIS Certificate, Worker Health and Safety Awareness in 4 Steps (or willing to complete)
Strong verbal communication skills
Demonstrate strong abilities in problem solving
Demonstrate strong abilities in customer service

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
