Customer Service Representative

From Canada to South Florida, Tropical Shipping operates state-of-the-art facilities in select seaside ports to meet to our customers freight-shipping needs to and from the Caribbean and the Bahamas. With over 53 years of experience in 32 locations, our aim is to deliver the highest level of service to our customers. We are currently seeking a Customer Service Representative to join our team in Saint John, NB.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent written and oral communication skills along with computer proficiency. As well, the ideal candidate will have:

• Post-Secondary Education
• Experience in International Import/Export trade and /or transportation
• Must be comfortable in a computerized environment with working knowledge of MS Office software (Excel & Teams)
• Bilingualism required (English/French)
• Positive attitude
• Able to Work Effectively in a Team Orientated Environment

The successful candidate will be responsible for Customer Service activities in person in the Saint John office. Specific duties:

• Daily communication with customers, booking shipments and providing service information
• Provide pricing information and rate quotes
• Proactive resolution of specific customer related issues
• Communicate with other Departments as well as Company-wide personnel as required to meet Company objectives and customer needs
