Bilingual Customer Relations Representative (French/English)

Eclipse Stores Inc., a growing Canadian retailer of women’s clothing, with over 80 stores across Canada, is seeking a Bilingual Customer Relations Representative (French/English) to join their head office team in St. John’s, Newfoundland. This position is full-time, permanent, and works the hours of 9:00am – 5:00pm Monday – Friday. We are looking for a candidate with both strong customer service and excellent communications skills in both French and English.

Responsibilities:

  • The Customer Relations Representative will provide support to Eclipse Stores Inc. stores, website and customers through phone, email and social media platforms in both French and English.
  • Monitor and reply to comments on social media platforms and online reviews in both French and English.
  • Manage complex service issues and deescalate situations with customers.
  • Translating copy for Eclipse website, emails and social media.
  • Translate company policies, manuals, memos and other communications to French-speaking stores.
  • Assist with processing ecommerce orders in peak periods.

Qualifications:

  • College or University degree in an applicable discipline.
  • Completely bilingual and comfortable writing, reading and speaking in both French and English.
  • Ability to translate from English to French and French to English at a high-quality level.
  • Customer service experience, including managing escalated customer situations.
  • Ability to work well with a team.
  • Retail experience would be an asset.
  • Strong working knowledge of Word, Excel, and social media applications
