Class 1 Driver

Responsibilities:
– Safely and efficiently operate a commercial motor vehicle to transport goods and materials to designated locations
– Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition
– Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and safety standards while operating the vehicle
– Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment and secure it properly for transportation
– Plan routes and schedules to meet delivery deadlines and optimize efficiency
– Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel usage, and delivery details
– Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members
– Perform basic maintenance tasks on the vehicle as needed

Qualifications:
– Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
– Knowledge of federal and state regulations governing the operation of commercial motor vehicles
– Ability to operate various types of trucks and trailers, including flatbeds, and refrigerated trucks
– Excellent driving skills and knowledge of safe driving practices
– Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
– Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
