B pressure Welder (TIG root)

GCM Canada is looking for 2 full time welders. We are growing the business with a new facility in Nisku and will be moving there this December. We offer competitive wages RRSP and Benefits.

Duties

1. Read and interpret work orders, modification procedures, and weld procedures.
2. Perform fit-ups, pressure containing welds, and multilayer overlay welds as required by the work order.
3. Weld procedures including GTAW, FCAW, SMAW, using a variety of materials.
4. Working hours are Monday through Friday 7:00 am – 3:30 pm
5. Overtime and weekend work required

Qualifications
High school or GED required (or equivalent)
3 years of welding/fabrication experience
Welder qualification test required as part of application process
Able to produce “x-ray quality” weldments
Able to read and interpret Prints, WPS, Specifications, Work Instructions
Fabrication experience an asset
Pipe Experience, Spooling Experience, Roll Welds, (TIG Root required)
Valve / Valve Modification Experience an asset
Ability to stand, crouch, bend for 8 hour shifts
Must be able lift up to 50 Lbs on occasion
Basic computer skills
Experience operating a forklift
Problem solving skills
Overtime work Required
Ability to work as a team with positive open minded attitude
Strong attention to detail
