Benchmark Developments Limited, a premier property owner and manager, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Carpenter/Building Technician to join our team. We manage a diverse portfolio of residential and commercial properties in Truro, NS. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform a variety of carpentry tasks including renovations, framing, drywall, finishing, repairs, and painting.
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of properties.
• Address and resolve building maintenance issues, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Ensure properties are maintained to the highest standards of safety and functionality.
• Collaborate with property management and other team members to complete projects efficiently.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
• Comply with all company policies and safety regulations.

Requirements:
• Proven experience as a carpenter /or building technician.
• Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques and materials.
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
• Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
• Clean criminal background check.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
• Must be currently able to work in Nova Scotia.

What We Offer:
• Competitive wage based on skill and experience. ($20 – $30 per hr)
• Minimum 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
• Some evening and week end work, as needed.
