Hiring AZ/DZ drivers – Ottawa

At A&G The Road Cleaners Ltd., we ensure our equipment is safe for our drivers so they can do their best quality work. We are also an essential service with many growth opportunities.

We are looking for AZ/DZ License drivers to operate our fleet of vehicles, which includes Sweepers, Water trucks, Dump trucks and Live bottoms.

We are seeking candidates for both day and evening shifts at our 24/7 operation. Candidates must be willing and capable of doing physical work as well. We have several contracts and/or projects that need operators to work outside the vehicle with hoses to give water. We also require drivers to clean out their trucks at at the end of each shift.

Responsibilities:

– Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport, clean and maintain designated areas

– Follow all traffic laws and regulations

– Load and unload cargo as needed

– Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding safety protocols

– Great customer service skills, team player and good communication a must.

– Maintain/clean equipment, conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs as required.

– Ability to understand performance requirements of the contract, route map and navigate to different job sites etc.

– Operate specialized equipment as trained and required.

– Available to respond to changes in schedule.

– Being punctual is an asset as well as being organized.

Qualifications:

– Experience in heavy equipment operation is preferred

– Mechanically inclined.

– AZ license with clean drivers abstract with a minimum of 2- 3 years experience.

– Ability to communicate effectively with solid writing skills.

– Ability to work flexible hours and long shifts.

– Ability to work shift work and be on call on a regular basis.

– Able to work in all types of weather and temperatures.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $23.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
