Marie, Sudbury, Huntsville or North Bay, the Environmental Engineer will report to the General Manager of Engineering and will have a wide range of duties which ultimately focus on providing leadership and operational support to the Environmental team, expanding service offerings to other TULLOCH office locations, and promoting TULLOCH’s environmental services to new and existing clients. What You’ll Do:As part of the TULLOCH Engineering team, you will:Provide leadership, training, and operational support to junior and intermediate staff in the areas of environmental site assessment, remediation and/or risk assessment, as applicable, within the framework of Ontario Regulation 153/04Serve as a resource in your field of expertiseAnalyze and prepare documentation, presentations, and review reports for internal and external stakeholdersEngage with other senior members within the firm to advance our brand and standing with clientsPlease note that this job description is not meant to be an all-inclusive statement of every duty and responsibility that will ever be required of an employee in the job.Who You Are:You have strong interpersonal, relationship building, networking and collaborative skillsYou are excited to engage and network to promote existing client relationships and develop new onesYou are willing to travelYou have thorough knowledge of provincial (Ontario Regulation 153/04, Ontario Regulation 406/19, Ontario Regulation 407/19, etc.), and federal (CCME) guidelines for contaminated site assessmentsYou make decisions and exercise independent judgment within defined parameters and in alignment with business objectivesYou can pivot and alter approach or recommendations to accomplish desired resultsYou are not afraid to raise your hand when you need help or guidanceYou are trusted and provided freedom to work independently but also contribute to the overall team successWhat You Should Bring:University degree in Civil/Environmental EngineeringLicensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or Professional Geoscientist (P.Geo.) in Ontario is required. Licensing in other provinces within Canada is considered an assetOver 6 years of consulting experience in the environmental field in OntarioExtensive experience in contaminated site investigations (Phase I and II ESAs) is a requirementExtensive experience completing Records of Site Condition (Phase One, Phase Two and Remediation)Extensive experience in Excess Soils Management (Ontario Regulation 406/19)Extensive experience in soil and groundwater remediationExtensive experience in preparing Risk Management Plans is considered an assetExtensive experience in Solid Waste Management Environmental Compliance Approvals Compliance Monitoring Programs and Landfill Closure Plans is considered an assetWorking knowledge of designated substance surveys, asbestos and lead abatement and indoor air quality assessments is considered an assetSolid written and verbal communication skillsOrganizational skills, strong work ethic, problem solving and decision-making skills, self-initiative and eagerness to learnValid Class “G” driver’s license is requiredWhat We Offer You:TULLOCH has built a passionate workforce with a strong and vibrant culture which has been the key to our success.
