Job Description:Job Description The Service Supervisor reports to the VP, Service. They are responsible for the successful daily operations of the service department. This position oversees and manages a team of Lead Hands and Service Mechanics. Things you will do:Respond to customer inquiries and concerns as required representing Magnum professionally and respectfully. Work closely with the service leadership team on customer and staffing concerns.Supervise night shift staff which includes but is not limited to: Performance managementSchedulingTraining & instructionTechnical support, etc.Prioritize & organize workload in shop to meet and exceed customer expectationsResponsible for the overall organization of the shop on a daily basis which includes but is not limited to:Scheduling of service jobsMovement of equipmentAssignment of work to staffClean-up and organization of tools and equipmentProvide service writing & parts ordering/issuing support as requiredPerform administrative duties including but not limited to:Employee time off requestsPayroll & labour adjustmentsShift summaries / communication log which includes shift notes, customer updates, parts order status etc.Safety reporting Provide first aid coverage as required (after successful completion of level 2 certification)Oversee maintenance functions and ensure that equipment malfunctions / deficiencies are reported in a timely fashionFocus on safety as the main priority and ensure employees are operating in accordance with standardsEngage in continuous improvement initiatives across the shop to improve efficiencies, throughput and quality of workmanshipPerform all other duties as assigned What you have:Completion of HD/CT Program through accredited educational institute OR:5-10 years’ experience in a Service shop / Trucking industryTechnical knowledge and understanding of heavy equipment & service repairsExperience leading teamsProficient use of Microsoft office suite applicationsKnowledge and understanding ERP systems (Visual preferred) Who are you?You are a team player who shares in our core valuesYou put safety first for yourself and your team alwaysYou show up each day with a positive attitude & outlook and lead by example in all that you doYou are mechanically inclined and are committed to providing mentorship and guidance to your staff membersYou are professional and relatable with our customers, you work well with others and you have the ability to gain respect and trust from all of those you interact withYou are organized and stay on track to get the job done right and on timeYou can communicate and write in the English languageYou are able to lift up to 50lbs & perform the physical requirements of the role Powered by JazzHR 4SLkdXSwDw
