Job Description:Job Description Business Program Instructor (CBA, A&F) – Surrey, BCDiscovery Community College are looking for the right individual to instruct our Business Program (Accounting & Finance, Office Administration and Business Computer Applications) from our Surrey campus using the curriculum provided by the College. Instructors should be caring and supportive with excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.This initial position would be for 20 to 22 hours per week on an evening/weekend schedule as below, but with the potential of additional hours (days, evenings and weekends – TBC):Tues, Weds and Thurs – 5:30pm to 9:30pmSaturdays – 8:30pm to 5:00pmThis position has a wage range of $25 to $30 per hour (depending on experience).Applicants must have:Certificate related to accounting and/or bookkeeping and 24 months related occupational experience.OR10 years related occupational experienceANDCertificate related to computerized business applications and 24 months related occupational experience.OR10 years related occupational experience. The applicant should have/be: A working knowledge of Manual Bookkeeping/Payroll, Simply Accounting and QuickbooksExperience of MS Office including Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, Access, Outlook, Excel and Office 365 (Teams)Experience with Stukent an assetDemonstrated organizational and time management skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with an attention to details and accuracyPreference given to Discovery Community College AlumniApplicants should submit evidence of their qualifications and experience with their application.
