Job Description:Job Description The Parts Technician is responsible for ordering, warehousing, inventory control and the sale of parts. Their duties also include identifying/searching for parts and equipment, shipping and receiving, and providing excellent customer service. Prepare sales slips or sales contracts.Keep track of backorders and follow up with vendors and customersEndeavor to increase parts sales and customer satisfaction through suggestive selling, use of coupon discounts and monthly flyer specialsEnsure that product and service quality exceeds expectations. Aids in the merchandising of partsMust participate in all training programs made available through Peterbilt or outside vendorsAssist Parts Manager as neededOccasional moderate lifting of up to 100 lbs is required Qualifications3-5 years heavy duty parts department experiencePost-secondary certificate, diploma or degreeRed Seal parts certification is an assetGood written and oral communication skillsStrong personal organizational skills as they relate to workload, time management and setting prioritiesEffective problem solving and negotiating skillsEffective conflict resolution skillsAbility to promote service sales and expand customer base.Solid understanding of the truck industry Compensation Rate$25.50 – $46.36 per hourPay rate will be determined based on previous experience, relevant certifications and skill level Powered by JazzHR z4jWi1adKR
